Okay, so this cooked breakfast has got to be bad hasn’t it? After all, no slow burn carbs, no cereals, no fruit juice; not even a blob of marmalade. Actually, that opinion is wrong on every level. This is a fab breakfast (poached eggs, bacon, black pudding, a grind of pepper and some chilli sauce). It is very low-carb (apart from some starchy fillers in the black pudding), and low-carb means…… low-insulin. It has a bundle of protein and health fats and, it kept me full for hours. Plus, of course, it tasted great.
